Saturday, August 8th

        12:30 to 4:30 PM

“PAN” FRANEK, ZOSIA & THE POLKA TOWNERS
is lead by head of the family, Frank Piotrowski of Muskegon.  It’s in their blood!  These professional recording artists have recorded and traveled widely.  Frank began his music career with a talent show in 1972.  It took Frank nine years to find his way to Poland and a great singer named Zofia (Zosia).  One became two and two became seven.  Seeing and hearing the Piotrowski’s in action is a wonderful treat.  Three sisters (Kristine, Andrea & Erika) stand up front playing fiddle and offer great vocal harmonies.  Brothers Kristopher and Simon Peter join in on drums and concertina.  What would a great polka band be without horns?  This spot is filled by Larry Olsen (Mr. Chops) on trumpet and Jim Fusik on sax. This family band is a “must see”.  Learn more at:  www.panfranek.com

SNEAKY PEAT puts it all together with entertaining showmanship and professional musicianship.  You will enjoy a blend of Cajun, Folk, Blues and even Classical.  Taking time off to earn a degree in music, Peter Schindler and his family have returned to perform in Northern Lower Michigan.  This year we will see them as a trio.  Peter is an orchestral composer and teaches strings in the Gaylord area.  Cathy is a fine painter and accomplished mandolin player.  Simon is a consummate percussionist.  They have been performing together for many years and are an entertaining and inspiring family committed to the pursuit of
artistic dreams.
